ted talk: cohabitation
I was shocked when I began to research my paradigm shift paper (about the changing attitude towards marriage in the United States, in case you missed it on the writings page). As someone who always planned to cohabit with my future spouse prior to our engagement, I was surprised to see that so many didn't. I decided to narrow my paradigm shift into a TED talk about the fluid role of cohabitation in current society.
advocacy project: "mental illness does not define you" campaign
After writing an issue brief about mental illness stigmas, I produced this poster. It is intended for an audience of college students, since this is a group that frequently struggles simultaneously with mental health and peer approval. My hope is that a poster like this one would (1) raise awareness about mental health issues, and (2) diminish the idea that a person with depression or schizophrenia is only a person with depression or schizophrenia.
